Clients building a trading room using conventional tower CPUs within the desk frame yet are considering deploying remote ("blade") CPU technology at some time in the future, can take advantage of the conversion capabilities of FORm™.

CPU containment, irrespective of the option selected (slide out shelves, trolleys, access doors etc.) can be disconnected and removed in the future to extend legroom below the desk while specially designed shelving below the worksurface can present the local C-Port technology required in blade environments. Simple conversion to and from a workstation style desk is still possible for clients seeking a multi-environment product range. Product features such as CPU housing, heat management systems, personal storage, privacy panels, and slatwalls can be added or removed as required.

The hybrid to blade trading desk is an important design concept to consider as blade technology becomes more and more prevalent. Since 2007, the majority of clients working with Innovant have selected FORm™ as their trading desk product platform for its sophisticated capability to convert to a blade environment without leaving unappealing aesthetic remnants when CPU storage features are removed.

As with all Innovant products, collaboration with clients and designers to achieve particular design features and aesthetics is encouraged when considering a hybrid to blade trading desk.
